Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

This weekend I decided to give myself a bit of a break and watch a comfort movie. Although many will agrue that across the spider verse is better than into the spider verse, I feel that the first spider verse is better. Into the spider verse is about a boy named Miles Morales and his journey of discovery of who he is and what kind of Spiderman he is gonna be in the face of expectations. I think this movie holds a special place in may heart because of how much I related to Miles' struggle and his journey to becoming who he is no matter what people tell him to be. 

Comparing this movie to the sequel, I think into the spider verse is a bit better in the story aspect considering it was made as a stand-alone, depending on whether it was gonna successful. This is not to say that across the spider verse is bad in anyway, but I just think storyline wise, into the spider verse was more well structured. the introduction of ideas and characters was extremely well executed. While watching, I thought back to Boy and the Heron, and I think that although both have their strengths, into the spider verse executes their plot and characters better than the latter. This movie is definitely something that is meant to be watched after the sequel, because you notice topics mentioned sprinkled throughout the movie.
