Rush Hour
Directed by Brett Ratner, Rush Hour is about a Hong Kong based special detective and Los Angeles based police officer teaming up to find a Chinese diplomats daughter. The movie overall is very well put together and has a great sense of technical skill behind the filming that I admire. The characters, setting, background, story, and cinematography are all phenomenal and earns its rightful place is a nostalgia movie that everyone can get behind.
I personally really like this movie because it has this nostalgia vibe that movies don't really recreate well enough anymore. The storyline is so creative and refreshing compared to movies coming out today and I enjoy the effort that goes behind the scenes. I actually liked Carter's (Chris Tucker) character development but I low-key got really over him when he started doing dumb things and sometimes I wondered why Lee (Jackie Chan) is still dealing
with him because me personally...
with him because me personally...
I literally cannot rave enough about these fight scenes; but then again, its Jackie Chan, so I don't think I need to. Overall, I would rate this movie a 10/10, with the humor, action, and storyline, I think this is a movie that a lot of people can get behind.
I love how you stressed the nostalgia of this movie. I tried showing this movie to my kids and forgot how "kid friendly" has changed over the past 20 years.
